Date: 2015/7/09

CLEVELAND ... Power management company Eaton today announced the company has been recognized among the “2015 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles®.” The National Business Group on Health presented Eaton with a Platinum award for exemplary workplace well-being programs, cultures and results at a Leadership Summit in Washington D.C. sponsored by the National Business Group on Health’s Institute on Innovation in Workforce Well-being.
Eaton was one of 26 employers that received the Platinum distinction for its ongoing commitment and dedication to promoting a healthy work environment through its Powering You to Live Well program.
“Our wellness strategy is part of Eaton’s commitment to doing business right. We’ve integrated our approach to wellness as an important part of our culture,” said Cindy Brabander, Eaton’s executive vice president and chief human resources officer. “We’re thrilled to again be recognized by the National Business Group on Health as we continue to deliver the tools and environment to empower our employees to live longer, healthier lives.”
Eaton has been recognized by the National Business Group on Health three consecutive years and earned a special Global Distinction Award in 2013 for its efforts to enhance the physical, psychological and emotional health, well-being and productivity of global employees and their dependents.
Eaton’s Powering You to Live Well program is based on five pillars of wellness: eat healthy, manage stress, get fit, be tobacco free and know your numbers. In the U.S., program objectives include significantly reducing Eaton’s overall health care costs over five years while managing costs and providing employees and family members best-in-class health management programs. Globally, Eaton believes that its wellness strategy promotes a healthier, more productive workforce and enables the company to be an employer of choice.
“We congratulate Eaton for being among an elite group of companies that are making a difference every day in improving the health and overall well-being of their employees and families,” said Brian Marcotte, president and ceo of the National Business Group on Health. “Eaton and its leadership team are to be commended for their commitment to promoting healthy work environments and for their innovation in developing outstanding programs for employees that encourage good health and well-being.”
