Jakarta, Indonesia…Power management company Eaton will showcase its latest innovations in energy and power management applications and solutions, focusing on the specific needs of Indonesian customers, at the ‘The Power of Possibilities, Energizing Opportunities’ technology day in Jakarta, Indonesia on 10 September, 2015.

The event, which takes place at the Pullman Thamrin Hotel, will gather more than 200 customers and partners for a full day of seminars conducted by Eaton’s executives and engineers. Focusing on Indonesia’s fastest growth industries, including mining, data centers, telecommunications, manufacturing and construction, the event will provide insights into some of the specific challenges that Eaton’s customers have faced and examples of how Eaton has helped solve them.

“Indonesia is a key market for us. We expect strong growth due to increasing demand from our customers for innovative power solutions that help them maintain productivity, reduce energy consumption and protect their capital investments,” said Li Li Mow, director, East Asia Commercial Zone – South Zone, for Eaton’s Electrical Sector.  She leads Eaton’s Electrical business in Indonesia.

A key focus of the event is the data center and telecommunications industry, which is presently experiencing growth brought about by increasing digitalization in Indonesia. According to Frost & Sullivan, Indonesia’s number of connected devices will reach 1.7 billion with over 470 million mobile subscribers and over 200 million active internet users by 2020. To help Indonesian service providers build infrastructure that can support this burgeoning demand, Eaton provides backup power solutions to keep IT applications running, ensure business efficiency and uninterrupted productivity. Their customers in Indonesia include PT Bank UOB Indonesia.

Another major focus of the event is the mining industry, which account for 12 per cent of Indonesia’s GDP  and has driven the country to become one of the largest exporters of coal and nickel in the world.  Eaton is a world leader in the delivery of electrical, hydraulic, filtration and vehicle solutions that meet the needs of mining companies throughout the value chain from exploration to processing.

Simon Meester, Eaton’s segment director of Mining Industry, commented, “Indonesia is one of the richest mineral environments in the world.  However, with commodity prices falling and legislation tightening, mining companies face rising challenges.  Our solutions help fuel continuous improvements across the entire mining process, increasing uptime, improving cost and energy efficiency while also protecting people, property and the environment.”

Alongside the seminars, a comprehensive exhibition floor showcasing Eaton’s solutions portfolio will allow visitors to explore Eaton’s products and services relevant to mining, data centers, buildings, manufacturing and telecommunications, including specific examples of how Eaton’s solutions are delivering advantages for its customers across Indonesia.
