We are well positioned through our global solutions to answer today’s most critical electrical power management challenges. Our principle end user markets are industrial, institutional, government, utility, commercial, residential, information technology and Machinery OEM.

The Electrical Sector has a long history of excellence. In 1978, Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer, the first building block of our electrical products business. In 1994, Eaton then purchased Westinghouse’s Distribution and Controls business. In 2004, Powerware joined our company adding power quality solutions to the growing portfolio of power management solutions offered by the electrical sector. In 2008, the Moeller Group and Phoenixtec became a part of Eaton, further strengthening our distribution, control and power quality portfolio. Most recently, Eaton acquired Cooper Industries plc in 2012. Cooper brings complementary leading technologies and products and a global footprint to support Eaton’s continued growth into a global integrated power management company focused on one of the most challenging megatrends of our time: the rising costs and increasing environmental impact of the world’s growing energy use.
