Date: Mar.30, 2015

NANCHANG … Power management company Eaton recently launched a series of Utility Mobile Tech Days starting in Nanchang, Jiangxi. The tech days are being held similar to a truck road show to bring an exhibition tour of Eaton's integrated solutions to customers. The exhibition truck will travel across 23 cities in southern China, including Changsha, Foshan, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Nanjing, where Eaton experts will meet local customers to help address their problems related to electrical system optimization, power transmission and infrastructure construction.

“As one of the largest power consumers in the world, China is witnessing a great demand in power distribution and transmission devices,” said Joe-Tao Zhou, President of Eaton in China. “With its rich experience in power management, Eaton has spared no effort in offering intelligent power solutions that are safe, reliable, efficient, and sustainable, giving a boost to the infrastructure and transformation of the energy sector in China."

The event featured Eaton’s Power Xpert™ DX, a low-voltage switchgear product, which, in addition to meeting the latest GB and IEC 60439 standards, Power Xpert™ DX has unique safety features to reduce potential hazards to operators and facilities. Highlights also included the 12kV Power Xpert™ UX, a withdrawable mid-voltage switchgear, and RVAC, an SF6-insulated Ring Main Unit (RMU), both recognized for its industry-leading safety, reliability, and sustainability. Among the smart grid applications, XIRIA Plus, Eaton's new solid insulated RMU for 12kV secondary power distribution systems, stands out with its excellent insulation and heat dissipation, high level of operational reliability. At the event, Eaton also displayed its full range of circuit protection and control components, with a special focus on wind power solutions that meet the stringent requirements of wind-based power generation.

The exhibition of innovative products and solutions will be complemented by a series of technology symposiums. Local customers and partners are invited to take part in an in-depth discussion with senior management and experts from Eaton on the issue of safe, stable, and reliable power distribution solutions. Eaton will share its years of experience in power system optimization and hold question and answer sessions for participants.
