The high-voltage inverter converts direct current (DC) from the batteries or generator to alternating current (AC) to power the traction drive motors. With Eaton’s established analytical skills, our background with power electronics and automotive expertise, we have developed a new family of inverters to support automotive plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and battery electric (BEV) automotive applications which are in serial production, as well as 800V inverters for commercial vehicles.
