Water stewardship
As global demand for water grows, we continue to reduce our water consumption and implement responsible water practices. Our processes are not particularly water intensive, but water is critical to many of our operations. And as water stress becomes more pronounced in some areas in which we operate, this will continue to be an area of focus for us.

Measuring and reporting on progress
We set annual water reduction goals, and to meet them, we focus on our largest water users and areas of high water stress. On an annual basis, we evaluate our water use management practices, measure our results and report across our facilities. In 2020, we reduced water consumption by 18% compared to the prior year. This is partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic but it is also due to increasing efficiencies at our plants. Download our Sustainability Report for more.
