Eaton’s vent float valves prevent fuel from entering aircraft vent systems during adverse aircraft maneuvers and attitudes. Located between the tank and vent system, the valve is normally open when uncovered and closed if covered with fuel. If inverted, the valve closes to prevent fuel spillage in the event of a rollover.
