Explosionproof Conduit Unions, Elbows and Tees
Crouse-Hinds series explosionproof unions are installed in rigid/IMC conduit systems to connect conduit to conduit, a conduit fitting, junction box or device enclosure. Expansion unions are also available, which allow for expansion and contraction of conduit and compensate for conduit cut too short. Available in a variety of materials, including stainless steel, to suit customer preferences.
Explosionproof elbows allow for a 90° change in direction to the conduit run, or when terminating at a box or fitting. Elbows are available with certifications for NEC Class I and II environments, as well as IEC Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 applications.
ET short radius tees are installed in conduit systems within hazardous areas to allow single conduit stub up to outlet and device boxes located above or below main conduit runs.

Design features
- UNY, UNF and UNL unions have compact designs which permit assembly with a minimum of clearance to other adjacent conduit and/or equipment
- UNA unions have a single clamping nut on an angle, making it both a union and a connector; this permits conduit joints at angles between 90° and 180°
- EL elbows have a smooth interior and are both strong and compact
- FE and FT IEC certified elbows and tees feature large openings to facilitate cable pulling
