Paulo Ruiz is president and chief operating officer of the Industrial Sector for Eaton, a global intelligent power management company. He was named to this role in July 2022.
In this role, Paulo is responsible for the company’s Aerospace, Vehicle, eMobility, Filtration and Golf Pride businesses, as well as the company’s operations in the Asia-Pacific, Central and South American regions.
Prior to this, Paulo was president, Energy Solutions and Services, Americas for Eaton’s Electrical Sector, where he was responsible for leading a newly created organization encompassing key businesses in electrification, energy transition and digital transformation. He also served as president of Hydraulics Group for the Industrial Sector, where he was responsible for providing direct oversight of the Hydraulics Group, executing its strategic plan and improving profitability.
Before joining Eaton in 2019, Paulo spent more than 18 years with Siemens serving in a variety of strategic positions around the world, including chief executive officer of Dresser-Rand – A Siemens Business. In this position, he was responsible for integrating Siemens’ rotating equipment business within Dresser-Rand. Paulo also ran the Bushings, Instrument Transformer and Coils business, Energy Transmission Division, and was director for the High Voltage Business Unit for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Prior to Siemens, Paulo spent six years with Fiat, where he held roles in operations, commercial and engineering.
Paulo has a master’s degree in business management from Fundação Dom Cabral in Brazil and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from FEI in São Paulo, Brazil. He also completed the post-MBA program at Kellogg School of Management at Fundação Dom Cabral and the Graduate Development Programme with Isvor Fiat in Turin, Italy.
