The BECOPAD P depth filter sheets with extremely low endotoxin content (<0.025 EU/ml) after rinsing with 0.61 gal/ft² (25 l/m²) WFI (Water for Injection) and up to 50% reduction of rinse volume are composed of high-purity cellulose. Eaton's manufacturing method assure consistent product quality and the hightest purity of filter media to meet the manufacturing requirements of pharmaceutical products plus the regulatory need for risk avoidance.
These depth filter sheets can be used for a wide range of applications, including clarification of ethanol solutions which have a tendency for ion-related precipitation, catalyst removal, and separation tasks in the production of biopharmaceutical products. Due to low charge-specific adsorption effects and mechanical separation they can preserve the desired target ingredients in the filtrate.
