BECOGUR 1200 diatomaceous earth is a medium fine, active filtration diatomaceous earth with excellent clarification effect and high throughput for the filtration of beer, wine, fruit juices, oil, starch, sugar, gelatin, and other liquids.

Diatomaceous earth is produced from the silicaceous deposits of microscopic diatoms. The powdery BECOGUR 1200 diatomaceous earth is produced by mixing specially selected particle sizes. It is largely free from non-filtering components such as fine dust and silica sand.

Permeability is measured in Darcy. One Darcy is equal to 1 ml/s, i.e. the flow through a cube of filtration sheet/filter aid having an edge length of 1 cm with a water column of 1 m of the filtered liquid.
